German Car Models
After World War II, German infrastructure was rebuilt from the ground up with a focus on manufacturing. The manufacturing base quickly fulfilled the domestic market, and still had room to grow. Trade restrictions kept many great German car brands out of the market until the 1960's or later, but once they began coming in, American consumers recognized the quality and began buying them in large numbers.
As the German brands became firmly established in the US, there were many alliances between US and German companies.
